Studio Sessions: Acrylic Painting Workshop
In this class, artists ages 9–14 will explore the exciting world of acrylic painting while developing new techniques, building confidence, and discovering their own creative style.
Over the course of five weeks, students will complete two original acrylic paintings from start to finish while experimenting with a variety of materials, tools, and painting techniques. Along the way, they'll learn about color mixing, composition, layering, brushwork, texture, and other foundational painting skills that help bring their ideas to life.
Designed specifically for older kids and tweens, Studio Sessions offers more freedom to experiment, make creative choices, and work on longer-term projects than our younger classes. Rather than following simple step-by-step crafts, students are encouraged to think like artists—exploring new techniques, developing their personal style, and creating artwork they can be proud of.
Whether they're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or already love to paint, this class provides a welcoming, encouraging studio environment where creativity, curiosity, and artistic growth are celebrated.
